Future World
Capture the coming era

While energy demand in world is increasing, it is urgent to address climate change, and the plant industry is also undergoing major changes including digitalization.

Plants are an indispensable infrastructure for daily life. They have issues to overcome such as environmental impact, aging, shortages of human resources, and crisis management and they also have the potential for further evolution.

As a leader in the robotics industry, Kawasaki Heavy Industries, Ltd. Robot Business Division would like to Co-Create a next-generation operation model in the plant engineering industry through the digitalization of plant business operations and the utilization of robots.

Vision
The purpose of Co-Creation

We would like to promote automation and digitalization of plant O&M processes (especially maintenance, inspection, maintenance, and security) by utilizing quadruped robots. We want to realize safe, secure, and efficient plant O&M by minimizing risk-bearing human work in plants that are sometimes located in distant areas or in hazardous environments.

We also are manufacturing the plant itself. We would like to discover the potential for new value chains and processes using quadruped robots, including the design and construction phases of plants. We want to contribute to optimize QCD for plant construction, operation, and dismantling, because it is a theme that has a part in global energy sustainability.

Quadruped robot “Bex”

“Bex” is a high-powered quadruped robot capable of walking on uneven terrain, with a payload of over 100 kg. In addition, "Bex" can transform from a quadruped walking mode to a wheeled running mode, and in the wheeled running mode, it can move efficiently and at high speed over terrain. We are able to bring innovation to society together with our Co-Creation partners by combining their innovative technologies and ideas with "Bex" as a tangible solution.

Robot Business Division has been providing products and solutions to customers around the world for many years in the field of industrial robotics, and has built a relationship with customers and society. We also have a global sales/after-sales service network, so we are able to offer concrete solutions and solutions that can be spread throughout the world.

Mass production technology for stable supply of the highest quality in the world

Mass production technology for stable supply of the highest quality in the world

Kawasaki Heavy Industries, Ltd. Robot Business Division was the first company in Japan to begin manufacturing and selling industrial robots in 1969. Since then, as a pioneer, we have supplied many robots to the automotive, electrical/electronics, semiconductor, and pharmaceutical industries. With the mass production technology, we have cultivated over the years, we are able to provide a stable supply of advanced, high-quality robots.

Robot Digital platform “ROBO CROSS”

ROBO CROSS" is a digital platform that continuously provides services by utilizing various data related to robotics. Co-Creation partners can use the data collected by the robot through this platform to solve social issues.”
